Swampfox Optics is a relative newcomer to the world of firearms glass. They recently turned two years old, having been founded on Independence Day in 2018. Students of American history will already have observed that their link to the founding of the United States doesn’t simply coincide with shared birthdays. The company’s name hearkens back […]

Police this week are investigating to find who is responsible for letters sent to New Hampshire supporters of President Donald Trump, telling them they have been added to a database of targets to attack in a future “Civil War.”
The New Hampshire Union Leader reported Wednesday that at least two residents in Brookline and two residents in Milford received a letter telling Trump-supporting households they were added to a database of people to target if Trump loses the election, but does not concede. The letter states, “We recommend that you check your home insurance policy and make sure that it is current and that it has adequate coverage for fire damage.” The letter also warns of a “Civil War.”
The letter reads:
Dear neighbor. You have been identified by our group as being a Trump supporter. Your address has been added to our database as a target when we attack should Trump not concede the election. We recommend that you check your home insurance policy and make sure that it is current and that it has adequate coverage for fire damage. You have been given “Fair Warning.” Always remember, it was “you” that started this Civil War. Be prepared to face the severe consequences of your pre-emptive actions against democracy. Be prepared to face the severe consequences of your pre-emptive actions against democracy.”
Brookline Police Chief William Quigley said the incident is under investigation and the Brookline Police Department is working with the Milford Police Department, the FBI and the U.S. Postal Inspector.
Milford Police said the letters found in Milford were sent to two homes with signs supporting Trump’s campaign.
Quigley told WMUR the threats would not only constitute a crime at the local level for “criminal threatening,” but could also be charged as a federal crime if the threats were sent through the postal service.
Authorities have also reportedly contacted the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
“The fact that somebody would have the gall to even put something like this out,” Quigley said. “This tips the bucket. I have never heard of anything as blatantly foul as this.”
Quigley said the Postal Service has resources to track from where a letter was sent and Brookline Police were adding the two targeted homes to their daily patrols routes.
Milford Police Capt. Shawn Pelletier said additional complaints of threatening letters would be forwarded to the U.S. Postal Inspector.

One of my favorite things in this world is trap shooting. When I had requested to review a trap thrower out of Champion Target’s thrower line up, I was not sure if anything would come of it. Happy and excited to tell you that I had a great opportunity to get to know one of […]
